The mash-up is a little preppy, a little retro, a little sporty, and never overworked. (It’s also worth mentioning that everyone who works there is exceedingly nice.) He said this was the easy part, because he knows cafés and restaurants so well.After our visit, he got me one of their signature Greek freddo espressos, a layered iced-coffee drink that required multiple steps and, refreshingly, a lot more patience than your usual grab-and-go coffee shop. First, you whip up the cold foam, then brew the hot espresso, add a bit of sugar when it’s still hot—this is crucial!—then you pour the espresso over ice and stir quickly to cool it off. Finally, you add the foamy cream on top. Santis ordered himself a Greek iced tea that took nearly as long to steep, but I wasn’t in a rush. Neither is he. Despite his seemingly swift success, he’s taking things slow—really slow. He joked that he’s fine with not being a billion-dollar brand right now, saying he’d rather that Aimé Leon Dore still exists in another 10 or 20 years. That’s probably hard to imagine for most designers, particularly the ones attempting to keep up with fashion’s breakneck pace. But is Aimé Leon Dore even “fashion”? Not really. Santis is making his own rules—one store, freddo espresso, and off-the-record interview at a time.

    Great quality fits perfectly
    Very good quality especially for the purchase price for two. I bought them large and oversized for my tall and thin 15 year old daughter she likes to wear them with shorts and knee high socks and combat boots looks super cute on her and she’s happy and comfy I bought her an extra large and the shirts come to her mid thigh

    These Tee shirts fit as expected. Washed in cold water and tumble dry. Some shrinking due to 100% cotton.

    Good outside work T-shirt

    Bought these for working in my yard. They are just the right size (XL) and length. On me, the hem is down to the bottom of the front pocket openings on my jeans and the fit is slightly loose, not figure hugging.
    I’m not sure what the definition of “heavy” is supposed to be. These seem to feel slightly thicker than the Hanes or Fruit of the Loom multi-pack white T-shirts you can buy at your local supermarket, but you can still easily see through them when held up to a sunny window, for example.
    I waited to do this review until one shirt was washed to record the amount of shrinkage and see how the texture changed. New, they are almost silky in feel. Very nice. Once washed, they lose that and become slightly rougher, like any other T-shirt. After one wash, as shown by the photo of washed over top of new, they have lost maybe 1″-1.5″ on length, but the width change was minimal and the fit is still a loose XL. The color faded slightly also.
    It’s a T-shirt and it’ll meet my intended use, but I wouldn’t say they were “special”
