Come across many t-shirt brands that claim to be about I’m fine it’s fine everything is fine shirt . A cause that is greater than just selling t-shirts, only to find out that said cause was nothing more than a clever marketing ploy. Since the day I first came in contact with , I’ve noticed that everything about them is…well…different. They’re a brand run exclusively by marginalized youth from Portland, Oregon. Their mission is to get these young people get off of the streets and into a life more worthy of themselves as unique, beautiful individuals. They celebrate their differences and use them as inspiration for their t-shirt designs. In doing so, they’ve created a line-up of t-shirts and other gear that are unlike anything else you’ll find.

I had the chance to find out a bit more about dfrntpigeon in a recent interview I’m fine it’s fine everything is fine shirt . Here is what they had to say about themselves and what they represent… We are a collective of young creatives with varying abilities in illustration, graphic design, and copywriting. We design each collection as a group, united by an overarching theme (“Identity”, “Community”, “Transition”). We involve an intimate team of volunteer mentors from our local professional design community at different stages in our process, who support us in evolving our graphics and creating a cohesive collection for our customer.  We love our support team of professional mentors who volunteer their time to help our brand exist. We are motivated by the desire to create positive change in our communities and the lives of those around us. We want to inspire people to create, grow, and see their value regardless of the challenges they have faced. According to Napoleon Love, Afro Space was started for the people and by the people in the Midwest, USA. His goal was to create a Black ‘Ed Hardy’ feel in their designs to engage the urban, music, and skateboard.

    Great t-shirt. Great value
When asked why do I wear a black t-shirt 365 days a year I respond, “because they don’t make anything darker”. Needless to say I own a bunch of black t-shirts. This brand, for fit, durability, comfort, warmth, and value for your dollar, is as good as most any I own and I own a bunch of these. 100% satisfied

Great quality, but order a size up.
After an inspection of the clothing they appear to be made quite well. There were no openings in the seems, no loose/unraveling threads, no tears, or stains.

Unfortunately, even with measuring myself before ordering, they did not fit. I ordered medium, in accordance to their sizing chart, but it felt much too tight. Almost like it was trying to be a muscle shirt. So, order a size bigger and you should be good there.

Finally, I learned I don’t like “heavy cotton.” A lot of other reviewers said the fabric was soft. To me it was indeed heavy, too heavy, and was more roughly-textured that I expected. Not what I call soft.

I liked the quality of the construction though, and these issues ultimately shouldn’t count against the product itself. Size chart just needs some adjustment, and the fabric issues are just my own preferences.

    Nice thick shirt
So I am someone who likes thicker t shirts and they seem to be harder and harder to find in stores since most shirts are becoming increasingly thin. These shirts are the perfect thickness! Thick enough to feel comfortable but not too thick to be stiff or hot. Highly recommend these!
